Amazing live video from the sailing at the Olympics in Marseille today. Some of the live action is broadcast and captured from Samsung S24s mounted on the sale boom and connecting to a private 5G network operating out at sea. Hats off to OBS in bringing the technology for private 5G to capture action right at the heart of live sports events.

@simesa The live broadcast TV productions in different countries are selecting and broadcasting live pictures and video feeds from the barges. Can note France USA, India so far. But that rain.

Are they actually being shown anywhere? I’ve been able to watch a bit of the feed via our internal systems but seems a shame they’re not online anywhere public.

The Paris 2024 opening ceremony is live! Each country barge has a Samsung S24 streaming live on a private 5G SA network covering the 6km of the River Seine.
