Helen Maguire, the Lib Dem MP for Epsom, reckons women in the town are scared to go out on the streets because of people protesting. Not because a young woman in her 20s got followed from a nightclub and gang-raped by several men outside Epsom Methodist Church in the early hours last Saturday. Not because five days later, no suspects have been arrested, and police still haven’t released any descriptions of the attackers. And definitely not because the area has hotels housing illegal migrants, while locals are left in the dark and terrified for their daughters’ safety. Nah, it’s the protestors asking basic questions who are the real problem, apparently. “Take it elsewhere,” she says, while banging on about “divisiveness” and letting the police have “space.” Priorities, eh? Women’s actual safety versus not upsetting the narrative.

Good grief. Now the Foreign Secretary claims to know nothing of her own department’s vetting of Mandelson. She was appointed to the post last September.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. You simply have to watch this to even believe it’s possible. Just listen to Sadiq Khan get the most updated crimes figures read out to him, and even with the facts made available, this Islamist weasel still lies through his teeth and denies reality. London is so cooked. And it really begs the question as to who or what is protecting the Mayor who seems to be untouchable no matter what he does. Britain is simply broken and I do not believe it can be fixed. It is too far gone and the people are still too cowardly to rise up and fight for it.

Completely unacceptable We’ve now had campaign signs and peoples property targeted with what we believe to be either a paintball gun or balloons filled with paint. Let’s be clear, that means people are effectively firing and damaging peoples homes and businesses. This comes from the same people who talk about tolerance and respect, yet resort to this when they don’t like opposing views. Whatever your politics, this should concern everyone. If this is how some behave during a democratic election, where does it end? Disagree by all means, but this crosses a line.

How much will Olly Robbins be paid for his loss of office? I read he will be compensated on the basis he did nothing wrong. This will raise more questions about the mistakes of the PM.

This is the circle it's impossible for No.10 to square. If, as they have begun claiming, Robbins was indeed precluded from informing them because of the rules, then there were no grounds to sack him. If the rules did not preclude him, then it's inconceivable he didn't tell them.
