@Nik_Ader @DickLaurent96 @DanNash86 We’ve got a better player in Mowatt, he can’t move though. As I said, the club has a lot of replacing to do, as well as a position at the top of the shop to make, we’ve got 4 starting centre midfielders under contract though. They can’t do everything overnight

Both teams left it all out there. Unfortunately what they had to offer was absolute dirge. Some of the simple passes in that game 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

@Nik_Ader @WanchopePaulo @DickLaurent96 I’m not sure Price is capable of that. Would happily be proven wrong however. Perhaps he could add some craft to the graft in a 3 man midfield with JM & OD however, in a 4-3-3. I don’t ever want to see the lad as a 10 again though. In possession he needs to improve a lot.

@WanchopePaulo @DickLaurent96 @DanNash86 I go on a lot with the national team about how I feel that it’s not managers holding us back but the actual DNA of English football and nowhere can this be seen more in our love for players like Molumby. Better an idiot that runs 2000m than a clever player that runs 100m

@WanchopePaulo @DickLaurent96 @DanNash86 I said it last year that if I could I would have put Price in the centre of midfield (not in attack or out wide) and said I want you to be the one who controls us. Switch play, through balls, put your foot on it and slow it down when we are under pressure like Greening0708 era

It was because our central midfield has all the control toddler on acid in a toy shop, our best technical player gave away more balls than a gigolo, our left back was running in quick sand and our hold up forward treated the ball like he had a trampoline instead of feet.

Our best player from the last 18 months that many felt was destined for the Prem is actually a bit part player in a play off team. So what standard does that mean the others actually were. Today WAS a dreadful quality game but that had jack shit to do with management…

I think some wba fans really need to wake up and realise the actual quality of this team. They aren’t as many claimed last summer a play off challenging team being held back by poor management they are a lower table squad…

@suttonbaggie @wbaa_j Only thing I possibly would have considered is finding a way of getting Styles back to left back because Taylor in the second half was struggling (bar one very good tackle) against their right midfield when they matched us up

Even by the low bar ofEnglish standards, Albions lack of composure all over the pitch is almost funny at times. Our strikers hit the ball rather than strike it, our midfielders move the ball rather than pass it and run around with it rather than dribble it. Its just so poor…

2) 99% of fans weren’t arsed that MON played him in that friendly but I would have been pissed off (not with MON though) if he’d got injured in it

@grassrootsrefJa I'm not sure that would be the case once you remove wembley debenture tickets. And even if so then the difference wouldn't be huge. Wembley should be a reward for those reaching the final

Some sympathy with the BBC on this. Because they would have been absolutely slaughtered had they picked an all premier league encounter between two clubs who probably won’t be prioritising the FA cup over a league 1 team making the quarters.

@StefHa_11 @AndyfromNewHamp @LastBlairite I can only explain how I use that phrase and I think you can add specifications to it like being the generational talent of Albions academy or being generational defensive talent etc. Maybe TLB was saying that Tom is a world generational talent like Yamal I can’t speak for him.

@Nik_Ader @AndyfromNewHamp @LastBlairite Fair enough, probably a misinterpretation on my part, I class 'generational talent' as a Lamine Yamal, not somebody who hasn't scored a goal in the Championship for almost a year. If it's referring strictly to WBA then I agree, we haven't produced many better in the last decade
