I don't think I've seen a Sens playoff crowd lose as much excitement as this game. Literally light booing after PPs, no hype coming out for the third, and zero cheers when we got a new PP. Team gave the crowd nothing to work with. Fans wanted to have the moment.

Did you even watch the game? People left then the league decided they didn't want the Canes to win yet. How tf they call offsides without a challenge? Someone has a toenail over the line isn't giving any kind of advantage. Idc if it's Ottowa or Carolina, it ridiculous unless coach challenge, the on ice call should trump anything.

The Hurricanes may deserve to win a cup in the near future - but their fans certainly don't. The building was FULL during the game - which means the "fans" made the conscious decision to leave during overtime of a playoff game. Truly embarrassing.

Not to be a downer, but feels like there may be a lot of false optimism in the fan base right now. We can win, but it feels like a looooongshot at this point

The more I sit with the Game 1 loss, the more it feels like the series last year.

Carolina deserves credit for shutting Ottawa down today. Their window has been open for a long time- they know what they’re doing. At the same time, that doesn’t excuse Ottawa’s performance. Seeing a lot of takes similar to last year; people basically saying it’s fine to lose because Carolina is a top team. At some point, you have to beat top teams. Hoping for a long series ahead.
