@1967Christian @MichaelWestBiz I only buy new season apples for that reason.
Mind you, some varities can store in the fridge for 2-3 months before the quality deteriorates.
I can do without at other times.
English

@Nolasque @MichaelWestBiz Check the apples out. They have been in storage long enough they start seeding.

@TraceyHool99779 @Jikkyleaks @ScienceMagazine @NewsfromScience Get into the habit of quartering your apples, they have been in cold storage for that long the seeds are sprouting.

@stkirsch You don’t have the ability to prove reality wrong.

Earth is increasingly ‘out of balance’, as more heat is trapped in the atmosphere, driving global warming

@jeffreytucker I still think he is one of the useful idiots.
No one in their right mind could even conceive let alone fund some of the highly contentious projects he supported.

The crashing and burning of Bill Gates is one of the more spectacular turns of our age. It's hard to believe. This guy was not only the global warming guru but probably the top Covid lockdown and vaccine pundit who made bank on the whole operation. Now he is a poster child of overclass arrogance, pretense, decadence, and corruption. Amazing.

Normally I would not bother responding to someone who resorts to name calling.
I find the term "leftist" insulting. I find the term "cooker" insulting as well so please do not try to pinpoint my political bent. If I can't do it then neither can you.
Bottom lines is that it was not a deliberate “government forced them to close” scenario. It was more a case of governments stepping back and letting the market decide until it was too late for most facilities.
Stricter fuel quality standards were introduced however, the refineries were old and needed massive investment. The Asian had built mega-refineries and were producing fuel in accordance with government introduced standards. Julia's carbon tax was a blip but not a catalyst.
The problem we have is that we elect morons to run our country. Long term planning does not exist. They only look as far as the next election. What one government puts in place during their term/s is dismantled by the next. Ask the current government what happened to our oil reserves that the Coalition had put into place during Morrison's gig. Mind you the US would have probably confiscated it anyway under one bullshit excuse or another.
And it's not just oil refineries. Look at all the manufacturing losses in other sectors.
If we didn't have mining, we would be fucked as a nation.

@Nolasque @shouldveknown11 Yeah but what govt policy's and disinsentives factored into their commercial decisions. Typical leftists, you quote the headlines but never dig any deeper than that.

Adult men who use cannabis in their 40s and 50s most probably do so for medical reasons.
That includes stress and other mental conditions as well as pain which, lets face it, gets more real as people get older especially considering the crap diets most people eat these days.
I've yet to meet an "old" tradie who does not have issues associated with years of manual labour.
I wouldn't call it cool dude.

@happyoda @shouldveknown11 Oh course it is greed.
Shareholders expect no less.

@Nolasque @shouldveknown11 Ahhh … the power of semantics … what you call commercial decisions … I dare you to not call it GREED.

@razorback11111 At least lithium stocks will remain relevant for the moment.

@thehealthb0t I refuse to even contemplate donating to cancer charities.
The cause of cancer is no secret. Yet nothing is being done to educate the populations.
English

@craigkellyAFEE Mind you, remdesivir (Veklury) approval was extended by the TGA this month.
It is still approved to treat moderate-to-severe COVID-19 cases in hospital settings.
Yet WHO do not recommend its use. Not that I find WHO that credible either.

😂😂😂
I think we are there now.
Country folk are not happy.
Fwiw, it is the smaller independent suppliers who are not getting regular supplies. The big chains upped their prices by 25% as soon as the first bomb hit Iran and currently there is a 50% hike on diesel. Filled up yesterday at $3.00 per litre.
Price gouging? Absolutely.

@mercola I eat nutritious whole-foods.
No need for supplements.
It is also important to pay attention to the seasons. Citrus is primarily a winter crop for a good reason.

@VirusesImmunity @WSITYpod Tell me about the "small fraction".
And tell me about the "millions of lives".
Just because you say it doesn't make it true.

Vaccines save millions of lives.
Unfortunately, a small fraction of people develop debilitating diseases after vaccination.
Thank you @WSITYpod for having me on the show to discuss post-vaccination syndrome. Please listen and understand what the patients are going through and why many of them lost trust in the medical and scientific establishment. We must do better.
Why Should I Trust You?@WSITYpod
