@TigTiegen The fix for that concern is to just seize Kharg and hold it. It is then no longer “Iranian soil” but American. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 I’m not anti war. I’m anti American boots on Iranian soil. I still support our warriors. Always have. Always will. And I will never turn my back on my country just because of who sits in the Oval Office. But supporting our military does not mean cheering for every new ground commitment. Trump has never ruled out boots on the ground. At the same time, the 31st and 11th MEUs, along with elements of the 82nd Airborne, are moving toward the region. Kharg Island is being discussed as a possible target or pressure point. That should get people’s attention. And while some talk like Iran is 10 feet tall, there are also growing reports of serious strain inside its military. Shortages. Desertions. Morale problems. Tension between Artesh and the IRGC. Even reserve call ups reportedly falling short. Now ask the real question. Who actually depends the most on the Strait of Hormuz staying open? Not the United States the way some people want to frame it. Here are the numbers: • China: 37.7% • India: 14.7% • South Korea: 12.0% • Japan: 10.9% • Other Asia: 13.9% • Asia total: about 89% • U.S.: about 7% of crude imports, but only about 2% of total petroleum consumption That matters. The countries with the biggest stake should be carrying the biggest burden. America has already brought airpower, naval power, and precision strikes. We have already shown strength. What we do not need is another open ended American ground commitment for a shipping route that matters far more to other countries than it does to us. If Hormuz is that critical to the major importers and the Gulf states, then they need to step up in a serious way. That is not weakness. That is not disloyalty. That is common sense. Support our warriors. Defend American interests. But stop acting like American boots should always be the default answer for everybody else’s problem. Honest question: Should the countries with the biggest economic stake be the ones carrying the biggest load if this escalates, yes or no?

@TigTiegen @Hawk1980_ @darthur111 It's no coincidence that VZ was first, then Iran, and Cuba is clearly next. And moving the visit to China was related. DJT wanted all them finished before his trip. And I expect they will be.

@Hawk1980_ @darthur111 You’re more than welcome to make your own post. I focused on the biggest direct dependency, which is Asia. Europe is affected too, but that was not the main point.

@TigTiegen I still don't hear an objective. To stop oil flowing? We can end all oil production for a decade from the air this week. Don't want boats to move. Hit them. A clear and concise explanation would go a long way to building support.

Florida became a magnet for new residents over the past few years. Overdeveloping and an open door policy has consequences in our elections. We saw this yesterday. I'm going to say something very controversial that will get push back. If we vote to end property taxes, the magnet will grow in intensity and draw millions more to my state. We should really be considering adding a legacy clause to ending property taxes that only extends to Residents who have been here for 20 years and with Florida being their primary residence. We obviously need relief, but we need to consider the consequences and talk about real long-term solutions, not just quick fixes.

There’s been a lot of noise and misinformation about what was said at our antisemitism press conference, so let us be clear. People of all faiths stood together for one purpose: to say no to antisemitism. Not quietly. Not conditionally. Clearly and unequivocally. This is not about politics or constitutional debates. It’s about what we, as people, are willing to accept. Antisemitic speech should never be normalized. When it shows up—on the street, in the workplace, or online—we have a responsibility to confront it, not ignore it. The photo that’s been circulating was shared with us by someone who received direct, threatening communication. It was used to illustrate a larger point: antisemitism is being mainstreamed in ways that should concern every one of us. That information was forwarded to another police agency that already had a felony warrant for that individual. We have had no role in that case or arrest. Let us also be clear: posting that image was not a crime, and it was not treated as one. But it is a symptom of a growing problem—one where too many people look the other way, or worse, lend their support. The hateful responses we’ve seen since only reinforce that reality. Don’t hide behind the First or Second Amendment to deflect from the issue. That’s not what this is about. This is about standing up for your neighbors—whether they are Jewish or not—and refusing to accept hate as normal.

@smcroasters They violated the First Amendment again by not allowing comments in response. Americans clearly have a 1A Right to redress of grievances, and that is an official govt account. They doubled down on unconstitutional stupidity.

So not only did this Sheriff violate the First Amendment rights of the man arrested. Thus themselves violating 18 USC 242 & 18 USC 241. They now have doubled down to violate the 1A again by refusing to allow redress of grievances from the public. @AGPamBondi @AAGDhillon @X

@ArtandTigger @RaheemKassam If we keep losing seats we won't have a super majority. Not to mention half of the Republicans are really democrats that know they have to run as (R) but vote like democrats.

🔴 A Democrat Will Now Represent Trump in the Florida Legislature. 📰 President Donald J. Trump was dealt a political blow late Tuesday night when Democrats managed to flip Florida's 87th State House District in a special election, which includes his Palm Beach residence of Mar-a-Lago. The district was carried by Trump during the 2024 presidential election by over 10 points and has historically leaned Republican. ⬇️ A link to the full story is in the thread below
