Epstein survivors are sharing the most important ad you’ll see today. Please watch. Trump and his administration are trying to cover up this scandal, but we are not moving on from it.

@LA2slc @_SVPod I agree. Winning matters. And so do losses. But not all wins and losses are the same. Dominant wins should mean more than close games. Running up the score late should not be rewarded. And I think computer rankings typically deal with this better.

@NotreDave @_SVPod IDK, part of me favors computers to take out bias, but not if it becomes more important than simply winning the games, even if by only 1 point.

"When I started looking at BYU and Notre Dame, I'm like, BYU's resume is better!" Plenty of talk about Notre Dame vs. Miami but BYU had an argument as well 🤷‍♂️ #GoCougs

@LA2slc @_SVPod Honest question. How do "computer models... trump actual results on the field"? By definition, the computer models take the on the field and remove bias based on a set of metrics. If you mean that a 6-6 team should not jump a 10-2 team, I would tend to agree.

@NotreDave @_SVPod Computer models should also not trump actual results on the field, although they do make more sense as a tie-breaker for two very similar resumes of wins and losses.

@argarrett826 @_SVPod And as far as hard games, their schedule is made years in advance so it is subject to opponents down years. Please take a look at their schedule thru 2030 and tell me if you would like to play it. They have upcoming series with Bama and Texas. Those hard enough?

@NotreDave @_SVPod Gee, I wish there was a way that Notre Dame could PROVE they’re better than BYU. Honestly the ego is disgusting. As long as ND avoids the hard games, they never have to prove anything.

@argarrett826 @_SVPod I assume that you are talking about the glorified exhibition game called the Pop Tarts Bowl where every draft eligible player would opt out of playing? That one?

@MDD17281300 @_SVPod Sorry to say that Pop Tarts bowl is an exhibition game that proves nothing. How many players would have opted out? The College Football Invitiational (Playoffs) has turned every other bowl game meaningless.

@CosmosStepson @_SVPod SOR for sure. I find that SOS can be a little deceiving. I also find wins against Top 25 is also a little arbitrary. Who’s top 25? Why 25 and not 30? For me, any good metric should weight the quality of both wins and losses.

@CosmosStepson @_SVPod Florida State 2023? Also, ND had great metrics. Instead of just cherry picking your favorite ones, look at them all. And the rankings (voters and computers). How many had BYU over ND? To be fair, I did see a couple, but not many.

@NotreDave @_SVPod OK, I don't really think it was chickening out. I'm just upset BYU passed up playing USC in the Alamo bowl, so they could play ND in the PopTart bowl, and ND backed out. Barring a wave of player opt-outs, it would have been a great chance for the Pop Tart winner to say, "SEE?!!?"

@cdmrocks1 @Chad_CougarTown @_SVPod Honest Questions… 1. How many elite teams do you think there are? 2. How did an elite team lose to Arizona State?

@NotreDave @Chad_CougarTown @_SVPod Notre Dame never played elite competition… Elite=Good enough to win a national championship. Neither Miami or Texas A&M are at that level. Texas Tech is.

@GamedayByu BYU had a great season. No doubt. But flllow this logic… Crushed (twice) by Texas Tech. Vs Lost by 4 points total to two Playoff teams. Who has the better shot?

@LA2slc @_SVPod I disagree. And this logic has already been used. See Florida State 2023. Is they did not have a legitamate resume at all, I would agree. But there are voters and metrics and computer rankings that establish a legitimate resume.

@NotreDave @_SVPod This is a completely incorrect mindset that will completely ruin the sport. Using this logic, the entire season does not matter, only recruiting classes do. WRONG

@DanCondie2 @_SVPod It wasn’t about chickening out. Believe it if you want, but this team felt like they didn’t have anything else to play for. Honestly, I agree with them. And that bowl game wouldn’t mean anything. Bowl games have become glorified exhibition games especially with the opt outs.

@NotreDave @_SVPod This is what's so great about ND: you chicken out and pull out of the bowl game where you would have the chance to prove it vs BYU, and you can keep dealing in hypotheticals.

@BodilyMcka18192 @_SVPod I wasn’t saying they would win the game, but I am saying that they have a legitimate chance. BYU was blown out both times they played elite competition. ND lost a total of two games by 4 points to elite competition. To me, that is the difference.
