Afaik all Id tech 3 games run a local server with scripted entities to create a single player experience. I suspect this was a blocker for the old moders, who chose HL over Q3 for this.

@D16_Makaveli @Druckzy As a kid who watched all your demos back then i can confirm how undocumented and forgotten this era is. As a Swede i can say few today know who Blue is, fewer know about the Swedish Voo, despite being internationally respected at the time. Good articles!

I don't want any monetization. I want to preserve esports history. This is a largely fragmented and undocumented era, and it was the beginning of a special movement in my view. I am also recording this for my children as I've mentioned. I don't want it to just be some story in passing. I want to have it documented. Something concrete they can have. There are a lot of other people who should tell their story as well in my opinion. All this information will go with us one day, if it's not recorded. If anybody wants to support something?
