Does anyone have a portion of their income that they give to the church or charity anymore? Wondering if that’s not a thing in today’s economy…

I used to chase luxury cars, jewelry, mansions, and status. Now I just chase freedom. My goal is no longer material items. All I care about is spending as much time with my family as possible. Life is too short. Focus on the right things.

@ObedientBread We do 10% to our church + some extra to missions every month.

@MsVeilMoney Maybe do a more simple giving strategy like tipping extra or buying someone’s groceries. Those kind acts can go a long way with you and the person you help!

@ObedientBread i do. no matter what my source of income i tithe to my church. not a full tithe yet at all, since tithe refers to 10% of your total gross income from your household. but i even give from a welfare check if im receiving one. the Lord Gods work is a fundamental part of happiness.

@SamBruebaker That’s fair. It depends on what they’re offering. You can always try it out for a month or two and see if the value is worth the price.

@ObedientBread I still try to tithe when I can but I recently bought a house so I haven't been as much as I'd like. I also believe in serving at church though so I'm still doing that

@theficouple A lot of people know the math, and it’s powerful math. But not many people have enough margin in their lives to make extra mortgage payments.

I wish more people did the math: Let’s assume you have a mortgage for $400,000 for 30 years at 6.5% If you made an extra payment ($2,528) every 3 months? Not only will you pay off your house 14.2 years sooner. ...But you’re saving yourself $$269,383 in interest payments 👌

Graphic designers might be cooked. The fact that ai can create something like this in 30 seconds would scare me if I was in that industry…
