Nigeria’s serious security challenges is as a result of northerners with their terrorist groups No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges is as a result of Igbos with their IPOB separatists No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges started with the Niger Deltans kidnapping foreign workers and destroying pipelines No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges actually started with iBB for annulling June 12 elections No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges actually started with northerners and all their coups and counter coups No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges actually started with Ojukwu and the Igbos when they declared Biafra and started the civil war No! It was Gowon that started the civil war after he reneged on Aburi accord and sent forces to attack Biafra No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges actually started with northerners carry out a pogrom and genocide against Igbos in the north No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges actually started with the January 1966 coup led by mostly Igbo officers No! No! Nigeria’s serious security challenges actually started in 1963 with the violence in southwest between Awo and Akintola that led to thousands of deaths and state of emergency and imprisonment of Awo No! No! No! Actually, Nigeria’s serious security challenges started from the beginning with the British manipulation during independence that pitched us against each other. ………….You can choose where to apportion your own blames, but the fact is that this is 2025 and those of us alive today have a duty to hand over a better society to our children.

@nigerianoise @FinPlanKaluAja1 It’s also unpatriotic to cheer looters and corrupt politicians while they scavenge and destroy the country just in name of giving “more positive vibes”. Without critically opposing bad policies and decisions by inept leaders, no country can achieve development

@FinPlanKaluAja1 See why it isn't good practice to pour vitriol on one's country? Imagine if you give more than a token positive vibes and reduce the negativity No country is perfect. We don't help it along through bitterness and vitriol Peace ✌️

Great plan Alex! My key observation: 1. The apprenticeship should focus on secondary school graduates. We must encourage every Igbo child to at least finish secondary school 2. The apprenticeship should be at least 2 years for proper field experience 3. The cash gift should be tied towards equipment and materials purchases 4. At some point, there should be some arrangement with some polytechnic institutions to award them diplomas even if it’s honorary

This is what the skill revolution and reinvention of Igbo Apprenticeship (Igba Boi) will look like in the South East. Firstly, in the first month of their cohort, everyone gets a core foundation of basic skills in bricklaying, welding, plumbing, carpentry, auto mechanics, electricals, HVAC, tiling and POP. Also, we will teach them precision and quality as a core. This is where we have lacked a lot as a people. Then they are then assigned to selected industries according to their preferred proficiency. They engage in 3 weeks practicals (In the companies) and one week theoretical (in class trainings). The in class trainings will then include other areas like accounting, marketing, organizational setup, structuring a business etc. A final exam will be written after the program which we will give them a certificate. The program may last between 6 months to 12 months. They will also be paid while they learn and after the program they get “settled” with N5 million each, which they can use to start their own business. What do you think?

I support this vision completely. And because I support it I will say the two things that could kill it. First. The N5 million settlement. The original Igba Boi worked because the master controlled the settlement. He did not hand over cash. He gave inventory. A shop. A client list. Structure. Cash given directly to a young man from a low income home in Nigeria will not survive the first 90 days of family pressure. Build a disbursement structure. Tie the capital to a verified business plan. Release it in tranches. Not in one alert. Second. 6 to 12 months is a foundation. Call it that. Market it as that. Do not call it a full apprenticeship. Because the market will test these graduates and if the quality does not match the certificate the entire program loses credibility by the second cohort. The vision is exactly right. The two things that need fixing are the money structure and the timeline honesty. Fix those two and this becomes the most important economic program in the South East in a generation.

Idu unọ is one important Igbo tradition that we have almost abandoned. It’s the major way we “settle” our daughters and sisters that gives them respect in their matrimonial home. Interestingly I don’t see our feminist gang taking about it. Bring back IDU UNỌ!

@bin_gbada @Ada_mummyya I remember a group called Light up Naija under Jonathan. They were staging walks and demanding for electricity. Also there were Save Nigeria Group and others. They all have fizzled away since APC came to power

If we finally get an empathetic and sincere leader after these locusts, it’s then you’ll realize Nigerians are not adaptive as we assume. They’ll demand for things they didn’t demand under the leaders that hate them.

@Mourinho1900 @asham24766 @thecableng @alexottiofr You can surely complete a power plant in 3 years. Abia was delayed due to court cases. However there’s no major power installations or mega projects under construction by Tinubu for us to wait patiently for. So even if he’s given 25 years like he had in Lagos, he will still fail

@thecableng @alexottiofr Thanks to President Tinubu for signing into Law the Electricity Amendement Act 2022. Now your state governors can generate and distribute electricity independent of the National Grid including Alex Otti. Hold your Governors accountable.

Yoruba people in Ghana are demanding the right to vote and be voted for, a move that has sparked anger among many Ghanaians. For many, it’s seen as being disrespectful to your host - something the yorubas often accuse others of - and hypocritical, given how firmly such demands would be resisted in their own region.

Let’s say the presidency “comes to SE” and a man like Umahi takes it and ends up as the worst president in the history of Nigeria, how does that benefit anyone? Look at Katsina state and the NW that “produced” the last president how they have been ravaged by insecurity. When will Nigerians learn that this turn by turn politics will not help the country? Can we talk about solving the many problems bedeviling the country???
