NOTORIOUS HOUSE BURGLARY ACCUSED ARRESTED BY NARAYANGUDA POLICE, KHAIRTHABAD ZONE, HYDERABAD The sleuths of Narayanguda Police, Khairthabad Zone, Hyderabad, have apprehended a notorious interstate house burglary offender, namely Hafijul Sekh (37), a native of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The accused is involved in multiple property offences across Delhi, Kolkata, and Telangana and has previously undergone imprisonment. He recently committed house breakings by day in Narayanguda, Sanathnagar, and Kukatpally police station limits, stealing gold ornaments and cash worth approximately ₹2,00,000/- by targeting locked houses and breaking open their locks. On 30.03.2026, based on complaints received from residents of Narayanguda and Himayathnagar, cases were registered under relevant sections of BNS. Acting on the instructions of senior officers, the Narayanguda Police team conducted a technical and CCTV-based investigation and successfully apprehended the accused near Secunderabad Railway Station on 06.04.2026 at 17:30 hrs, while he was planning to commit further offences. During interrogation, the accused confessed to six house burglary cases across Hyderabad and Cyberabad limits. The arrest was made under the close supervision of ACP Sultan Bazar Division, with the active efforts of SHO Narayanguda, Investigating Officers, and the crime team, whose coordinated work led to the successful detection of the cases. The efforts of the team were appreciated by the DCP Khairthabad Zone and they were suitably rewarded.

He pretended to convert to Hinduism, changed his name to Nava Durga, staged a conversion, and married her in June 2025 as a Hindu. After the wedding, they shifted from Kukatpally to Punjagutta. On the same day (first night), he planned everything. His brothers and friends — Munnawar, Shahrukh, Ismail, Irfan, and Sameer — entered the house under the pretext of a party. They allegedly gave the girl intoxicating drugs and all of them gang-raped her, according to the victim's complaint to Kukatpally police. After marriage, the accused took the girl's plot, gold, and obtained loans in her name. The victim also informed the police that Navaj was involved in hawala transactions and used to send money to other states. Kukatpally police have registered a case against him for cheating (by fake marriage/conversion) and hawala business. They have started an investigation. A Zero FIR has been filed regarding the gang rape, and it is reportedly being transferred to the Punjagutta police station.
