"how can I level up on @hylo_so as a small guy?"
every time I talk about Hylo, people ask the question above. they also say:
"it's for whales, not small fish like me."
"can't compete with guys who have five figures to spare."
yeah, you can't.
but what if I told you there's a way to win on Hylo regardless of your portfolio size?
would you take the opportunity?
you see, there are several paths towards earning on Hylo. you can choose to position for any future rewards by maximizing XP earnings, or pursue yield earnings from staking hyUSD or holding hyloSOL and still earn XP but at a slower pace.
you can also do both, but I digress.
as a small guy, you have no business chasing yield. yield is for folks with idle cash to park somewhere for future use. so your only path forward if you have a small port is to MAXIMIZE XP EARNINGS.
and the best way to do that is by tapping into the YT variants of Hylo's products.
let me show you.
firstly, every token in the Hylo suite earns a particular amount of XP per dollar per day. (see image 1)
naturally, xSOL is prioritized in XP earnings, because it is the most volatile position. remember, small guys need a big leg up, hence, they must embrace volatility. so, you need to mint xSOL.
step 1:
- visit hylo.so/leverage?ref=L…
- connect your funded Solana wallet (I use Jupiter)
- accept terms and conditions
- click on Leverage
- mint $50 worth of xSOL
good. you're now earning 1,000 XP (50×20) daily. but SOL is not a stablecoin, which means its price fluctuates, and xSOL fluctuates twice as much, depending on the leverage. so, how do you get ahead? 1k XP daily is meagre.
YT-xSOL to the rescue.
before we go on, there's a catch. YT-xSOL positions should be written off cuz the value goes to zero at maturity and it earns no yield. essentially, you're exchanging money for points.
step 2:
- visit exponent.finance
- click on Farm
- locate the open YT-xSOL pool (there are two pools and one is at full capacity of ~$500k)
- click on Buy, and convert your xSOL to YT-xSOL.

you can earn over 1.2m XP with only $50 by November 25th.
for proper context...
farming with $1k hyUSD gives you 5k XP daily, whereas $50-$100 in YT-xSOL gives you 14k-28k XP daily.
