Still trying to figure out who, exactly, the "Establishment" is tbh. And fighting the good fight every day - often in vain.

@ThirstForTT She’s a really nice person too. I worked with her a few years ago at Roland Garros when they did the Tennis Channel commentaries on site rather than from a studio a million miles away in LA.

@OpenCourt Chanda Rubin is more than solid. In my view she is one of the smartest and most insightful commentators on air right now, I love listening to her. She has a great TV voice too.
English

@LeDerius She lives in the area. So it’s convenient. I’ve seen Parks practicing with Venus at the US Open, too. Like a little sister 😉

Wow! I think it’s a really big flex to be practice with Serena williams 3x per week. You can see the improvement in Alycia’s game this season so far too! Says a lot about Parks that Serena would even invest the time! 🙌🏾

"I don't know if she's coming back. I don't when she's coming back." 😅 Alycia Parks reveals what it was like practicing and Serena Williams recently ✨ #MiamiOpen

Sad news from Davenport, whose mum was a popular figure around the sport when her daughter was playing. ❤️
Lindsay Davenport@LDavenport76
My mom dedicated her life to her family and to volleyball. We miss her so much.

@kvitovaserena Not logistically possible for her. And they don’t pay much. But yeah, some of them are …

I wish Chanda would do commentary for the actual WTA company cause a lot of those people they’ve got now are actaully horrid

It doesn't happen nearly often enough but the TC broadcast team for Fonseca-Maroszan is .... Chanda Rubin and Martina. Rubin's evolution into a quality PXP commentator rather than just a former player yapping has been impressive to watch. She's solid. Pleasant voice too.

@LornaReddon Too soon to tell. That serve is going to be a challenge.

@bobsakomano Others who jumped right in and were good were Jim Courier. And - maybe somewhat surprisingly to some - Lleyton Hewitt and … Kyrgios. Heard a lot of both of them down in Australianwhen they debuted and they nailed it.
English

@OpenCourt Agree with ALLL of that. Anytime Agassi for example steps in, I feel his insight and live analysis is off the charts. Others esp CVW above are beyond atrocious and clearly hit the ‘be yourself’ coaching

Results on the #CanucksThisWeek beat through Thursday, with some Canucks still to start in Miami and a couple of nice runs in the juniors.

@LornaReddon It was actually a tough test passed for Eala. Not an easy one - at ALL. Good job by her.
English

@bobsakomano Some just walked off the court and into the booth and have “it”‘from the start.
But the opposite is much more common.
English

@bobsakomano Some also don’t take their “retirement job” as seriously as they did their real job.
And because the best make it look easy, maybe they think it IS easy.
It’s not. At least not if you want to be best.
It requires watching a ton more tennis off the clock than many want to.
English

@Liz41525875 There are only so many hours you can be on air. Also I believe she has a child.
She may work as much as she wants to work. I’ll ask her some day.
