As tribal nations debate what it means to be Native American, the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe is considering removing a rule that requires members to have 25% tribal blood. npr.org/2022/08/02/111… ~2/3 of members support getting rid of it. ~70% of tribes still have the requirements.

@OptimizingPeace Not ignorant, we’re part of a sliver of denominations that believe it, haha. Catholics don’t think communion merely symbolizes the body & blood of Jesus, but that with the prayers that happen for “consecration” the bread & wine are transformed & the presence of Jesus is there.
