I’m so sick of all this “Michael Jackson died 500 million in debt” nonsense. Michael Jackson gave over that same amount to charity. So here's a better headline… “Michael Jackson donated over 500 Million dollars to charity during his life. And some estimates say that number is still low and closer to a Billion.” --------------------------------- I will not allow them to try and paint my uncle as this financial failure who died in debt. That’s their narrative. I will always paint him in the correct light. A charitable man who believed in giving away more money than he earned and who died still owning music publishing assets worth over 2 Billion dollars (and that’s a low estimate).

Your father-in-law lent his Rolls Royce to the Queen. That was the pedigree, that was the standard. Today, you’ve reduced that legacy to otimpku work. One generation is all it took. Do you even understand the name you carry?

Interesting views; personally I don't really rate Neymar that high also.. with what Raphinha is doing presently at Barca I'd say he's already on the same level with Neymar I've not really seen the hype around Neymar Jnr

🇧🇪🗣️ Jeremy Doku: “When Jesus returns, there won’t be a second chance. My goal is that when he returns, he’ll say to me: ‘Well done, my son. Jeremy, I gave you money, friends, a wife, fame, a family, resources. What did you do for me? What did you do with your money? Did you buy houses, clothes?’ When you think about that, you realise you shouldn’t live selfishly. When he returns, I hope I can join him in eternal life; I have no other goal." 🙏🛐

@magattew Good. Then the next question is: does democracy work here and do elections/votes count? The system is corrupted & rotten to the roots & though a few educated& enlightened ones may get the root cause, majority are still asleep& still won't demand the true political freedom we need

"The West assassinates any African leader who tries to develop their country." I hear this all the time when I say that we should stop fixating on the West and recognize that most of our problems come from our own governments, from overregulation, from bad laws, and from senseless policies that create poverty instead of prosperity.  I understand why people believe it because there's real history there.  But I need you to actually think about this for a moment. Mauritius is the most economically free country in Africa and has a GDP per capita approaching European levels.  Nobody assassinated their leaders.  Botswana was one of the best performing African economies after independence and their founding president Seretse Khama died peacefully of natural causes.  Rwanda went from genocide to ranking ahead of the Netherlands in ease of doing business, and Paul Kagame is still running the country today. These leaders improved their business environments, created economic freedom, attracted investment, and built prosperity for their people.  They're all doing fine. Now, the leaders who were assassinated during the Cold War era, that was about geopolitics. It was communism versus capitalism, superpowers fighting for influence across the globe, and leaders who aligned with one side or made moves that threatened powerful interests got caught in the crossfire.  It was ugly and I'm not here to defend any of it, but let's be honest about what it was.  Every major power plays these games, it's not unique to the West, and it was never about stopping African prosperity. If there was really some grand conspiracy to eliminate any African leader who creates economic growth, then Mauritius, Botswana, and Rwanda would be graveyards by now.  But they're not graveyards, they're success stories that prove the model works. So the real question we should be asking is why more African leaders aren't following their example.  And I can promise you the answer has nothing to do with fear of assassination.

I know "Aboki" means "my friend". But when Southerners use it there is a double meaning. They use it to demean northerners and use it as a slur not with good intentions. It is just like how White people use the word "Nigger". So I learned a long time ago to address all northern people as "My guy" if I don't know their name. Change begins with you. 🤝

History was made yesterday. Out of so much respect, because it’s Ramadan, the King broke a 100-year tradition to host a full Iftar banquet. No alcohol, a dedicated prayer room in the Castle, and a special "Zobo" mocktail for the toast🤗
