It is clearly visible that Eric Kirpke & his writers have no clue what their doing for the final season of The Boys. No wonder he has this fear of "landing the plane", the script was clearly not ready for takeoff as he thought.

Butchers dog eating chocolate and giving noir a backstory this late in game wicked asl. Last season finale butcher had the virus now this season “ The hunt for v1” the writers just winging it

@psalmofdemiurge Okay so because this fandom apparently consists of pre schoolers, the v1 is the end goal of the whole season, we cannot make the end goal this easy to achieve so we use these episodes building up to that moment while doing LOTS of character development for the entire cast 👍 😀

I don’t think showing more about your characters so that you can understand where they’ve reached throughout this story - also while laying roots for culminating the main story is filler. Honestly, other than killing HL & most of the Supes what else is there to do? That is not something they can show in episode 4&5?

It’s annoying how some #TheBoys viewers keep complaining. Epi 4 & 5 took deep dive into back stories. A show is made by its characters, their thoughts, motives, emotions. How can anyone relate to a show without knowing THEM deeply. I was seeing complains of lack of Black Noir, Sage & Firecracker till last week. The current epi gave them the stage. And you guys still complain? Then it also took the story ahead by showing Sage’s plans, Soldier Boy & Homelander’s relation taking a new shade, both of them finding the exact spot the V1 is. And it was entertaining. The main motive is to kill Homelander, if that happens now what will we watch the rest of the episodes for?

@Im_Mattx Deep dives are necessary in every season. How can you relate to a show, where you know nothing of where the characters at this point of the story. And everything they’re showing for each of them is leading to somewhere.

@RealLifeFakeWiz Stop watching if you call these episodes filler. Plenty happens this episode...most importantly we learned Sage is actually the most psycho out of everyone.

The Boys writers have entirely run out of stories to tell so we're stuck with 4 filler episodes in the final season before everyone just kills each other in the finale. Season 5 should have been a 90-minute movie to close it out.
