@ashleevance in conclusion, Mexico's golden youth generation didn't turn into success on the senior level, they won gold in 2012, but that was the last thing the golden generation did. They need something like INF Clairefontaine, and they need to recruit raw talent instead of Legacy players.

@ashleevance 2/2 so what happened to these players after being recruited to these clubs, Carlos Vela was loaned out to spanish clubs every year, Chacarito and Giovanni Dos Santos were on the sub bench many times, they got to start against very weak teams so the team can rest their main stars.

@ashleevance it would be a very long answer, 1. They almost looked like they were on the right path in the 2000s when they were winning the U-15 world cup twice as an indicator that they had future promising talent, even players who ended up at Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester United 1/2

Mexico confuses me as a country. It is the country that has hosted the World Cup the most. 3X. Says something about its infrastructure. And clout. It is also a top 15 country in the world by GDP. It is also a member of OECD and G20, the prestigious comities of prosperous nations. Decent indicators of economic clout and prosperity. Yet, it is somehow a butt of joke, especially to Americans. Treated like a poor neighbour you don't want to mix with, you chase away from your borders. And their people running away to America by all means.
