In total, 130,469 houses and 32,964 apartments (including bed-sits and excluding holiday homes) were vacant on the night of the census in 2022, while 66,956 holiday homes were counted as vacant. Crazy that this is tolerated in the middle of a housing crisis, with yet another record of over 17,300 people in emergency accommodation last month, including 5,457 children. This is not normal and cannot be accepted. We need urgent action to prevent evictions and expand housing supply, and we can start by utilising these vacant houses. After all, it was called a 'national emergency' by Leo Varadkar back in 2018 when the homeless figure was 10,000.

He is also an ex councilor and at one time and wanted, in his elected capacity, to use this position to replace the "offensive" Irish tricolour with "the red flag of Marxism and socialism" or "the pride flag". Matt supports abortion to term, supports graphic sexual content being taught to children at school, supports graohic sex books about "blowies" and other graphic content being handed out to kids at libraries and he supports the medical "transing" of children. These people were all over the murder of Ashling Murphy BEFORE they realised WHO slaughtered her. Then there was silence, except for Ruth Coppinger saying that all Irish men were to blame. She also blamed Irish people's "homophobia" as inspiration for Yousef Palani castrating and beheading two gay men in Sligo and stabbing a third gay man in the eye. She never mentioned his Muslim faith or jihadist MO. NOR did she acknowledge that Ireland was the first country in the world to overwhelmingly vote in favour of gay marriage. They think they're better than you. Better than Ryan Casey.

Government leaders agree on a 20 cent cut in excise duty on diesel and a 15 cent cut on petrol until the end of May.
Tanaiste Simon Harris has also recommended a diesel rebate scheme for hauliers and bus operators, which will be backdated.
