I grew up in a joint family, my Tauji's friends frequently visited, play cards (जुआ) & get badly drunk (never misbehaved thou). No party was over till the last drunk guy was at his loudest. I grew averse to both cards & booze. I don't gamble in any form & do lite social boozing.

@chitta2021 From my experience of interacting with them, TN is a little too slow in waking up to reality. They need to make extra efforts to see life beyond their comfortable umbrella and it takes plenty of time.

@my_musings_ind I also grew up in a joint family of 4, Parents and a Sibling. Now, all of us meeting for a simple Dinner needs ridiculous planning - how times change quickly with fast paced lifestyle 🙂🙂

I have a huge phobia of getting drunk & misbehaving with someone so I am extremely cautious of alcohol intake. I usually restrict it to a pint of beer or 2, that too when with trusted folks.

@Hyderabadi2911 I always had a city monthly bus pass, be it during my college in VSKP or here when I started my career. That's the safest mode of transport + you can sit and relax with your favourite songs during the journey to work or college

The problem with many of our city folks is, looking down upon people using public transport (though trend changed from a decade). When MMTS was introduced, used to take it daily to/from school. Several folks used to say 'you going by a local, eh'? This needs to rapidly change !
