@TheGhostly_X @RealPostFolder It doesn't just "smell a little funny" it's disgusting. My neighbour smokes it indoors and it makes my bedroom & bathroom wreak so bad I gag hard walking in and can't be in those rooms til it dissipates. I've had to move all my clothes out of that room as they started to stink.

@NeilEdwards61 @aliciakearns It arbitrarily lowers the wait times, because you've already been given an appointment, so technically you're off the waiting list. Even if they cancel and rebook it 3x overs. I've had it happen with a few recent referrals too. Give me an appt only to cancel and rearrange it.

Instead of being referred directly to a specialist when your GP thinks it’s needed, now your doctor will have to email a specialist and you have to wait for them to email back their view. Once your GP gets the email back, they either need to call you in for another appointment, or provide that specialist's assessment to you by letter. Then you will need to wait and see whether that advice (given without seeing you in person) works for a period of time, before then going back to your GP again, and asking again to be referred to a specialist if you are still suffering with the health issue. The result? Longer waiting times for specialist care, while specialists spend more time writing emails than actually seeing patients and using their expertise. On paper, waiting lists will therefore look significantly shorter, but only because fewer people ever make it onto them. You are not on a waiting list while the GP is waiting for the specialist to send their advice (without seeing you). You are only on a waiting list when, and if, you then request later to be seen by the Specialist, once you've gone through all of the process above. ⁠So all of this means the Government can announce they've cut waiting lists massively, but what is actually means is longer waiting times for specialist care for all of us as patients, and specialists spend their time writing emails not seeing patients.

@aliciakearns Can't have another MRI without their approval, they've offered no other investigation options to figure it out, so we have no fking idea what's causing them. My diagnosis is "idiopathic" meaning they don't know. Which is pretty fking ridiculous when they haven't even tried.

@aliciakearns Already dealing with this shit with the headache team. For 4+ years I've been have daily headaches. Had an MRI nothing there, so referred to the headache team, they sent back a list of things to try first. Did all that and still getting headaches, still they're refusing to see me

@MY_KINDA_SEX_ED When they were previously discussing the AD issue, they were saying from the get go that people with mental health should have access. Even for cases of Anorexia! They just want any "inconvenience" done away with...

@MY_KINDA_SEX_ED Is MAID not suicide!? I swear the UK is trying to do this too, they've cut disability down from £400ish pm, to £217pm for new applicants. They claim it's to encourage us into work but has also cut funding to organisations that help us find work! And they're pushing an AD bill!

Disabled Canadians need to be provided the resources to live so we don't feel like committing suicide because currently the government is committing social murder against us & no one seem to give a fuck about fighting for us to have a livable income & supportive services

@MikScarlet It's the only thing I can use, I'm opioid resistant, so nothing else works. It's not even that effective for me 😭

To everyone that saw my posts praising Nefopam, I want to add a warning. Well, 2. First the drug can negatively impact your bladder & kidneys (trust me I know). Second the lie of not being addictive is a doozy. I stopped on Monday & it's been awful. Great for pain, crap otherwise

People without chronic illnesses really don't get just how bad many doctors are at their jobs.
