Resetting this. If enough NHLers are vocal that this is NOT how they want elimination games are to end in international hockey, they’ll get their way. They should speak up. Not today or tomorrow, but consistently before France ‘30. The only reason we got that game today is because the players insisted on going. Trust me, the owners don’t want the players there. The players pushed for it - they’re a huge lobby group and can do this.

Mitch Marner, Megan Keller….we have to be consistent here. 3 on 3 - fun stuff on a Tuesday in November when you pay $138 a seat & $16/beer to see the Isles & Sens or the Stars & Mammoth settle a tie game BUT…. It’s a complete embarrassment to not even play 10 minutes of 5 on 5 before thinning the herd. Why does the Crosby Golden Goal mean so much? It wasn’t 3 on 3. If the 1987 Canada Cup had ended in a shootout…we would never recall it the same way. Gimmicks are gimmicks.

Bo Bichette is one of, if not, the best hitter in the entire league. He was leading the league in hits and doubles when he got injured.
Chalking it up as feelings being hurt is a wild theory - not putting Bo in to DH or pinch hit would actually just be silly for the Jays.

No idea how the Jays are going to utilize Bo Bichette vs L.A. but this I know: With Andres Gimenez at short, Toronto’s infield defence has been fantastic. And will be vital against the Dodgers. Would hate to see that change because someone’s feelings would be hurt.
