My insurance finally processed my life flight ride from June. 15 minutes, 20ish miles, will run you about $30k these days. 😅 In case anyone's been wanting to price one out.

Current editor, Justin Zoch, will be stepping down to pursue a new opportunity outside of the auto racing industry and current Senior Writer, Ashley Zimmerman-Wigans will be promoted to role of Editor. Zoch has been with Dirt Empire Magazine from its inception in late 2020 and has been the editor up through his final issue – Issue 29 – September/October 2025. “Justin was an integral part of the Empire family had the magazine owes a deep debt of gratitude to him for his helping steer us in the right direction,” said publisher Adam Cornell. “It has been a hard decision but its time for me to step away from my role at Dirt Empire and pursue other opportunities outside of the auto racing industry. Dirt Empire has been a fantastic project and is in a great place going forward with Adam’s leadership and creativity. Ashley will do a fantastic job as Editor. ” Zoch said. “Thanks to everyone who has supported Dirt Empire over the past five years.” Starting with Issue 30 – November/December 2025, Ashley Zimmerman-Wigans will be taking on the mantle of Editor and will be the main contact for all editorial inquiries going forward. “We are confident that Ashley will bring the same energy to the editorial role as she has in her writing since the start of Dirt Empire Magazine,” said Cornell. “Ashley is dedicated to continuing the tradition that Justin began with great interviews and stories matched with the best photography in the industry. Kelby Watt had to go through the B Main last week to make the show, but then drove from 20th to 11th in the A Main. He was at Eldora last night to race with the Outlaws and super trucked it back 8 hours to be here for tonight! The kid from Grimes, IA has a heavy right foot and is poised and ready for Round #2 tonight.
