It strikes me as worrying that: 1) Iran talks fall apart again 2) Trump is looking for a reason to re-engage 3) He called Americans home from Pakistan including the advance team 4) He attends the correspondence dinner *for the first time* 5) Immediately there is an alleged shots fired incident with a dead shooter. If this develops into a claim that the shooter had *anything* to do with Iran, I’d be deeply skeptical and concerned that this is a false flag.

Ceasefire imo soon Headline will still be a short.

The Iranian delegation in Pakistan is now leaving Islamabad without having met US officials, as they consistently claimed throughout the brief visit.

🇺🇸🇨🇳🇮🇷 Trump admin just sanctioned a major Chinese oil refinery along with roughly 40 shipping companies and tankers tied to Iranian oil transportation. This is a significant escalation. The U.S. has sanctioned Iranian networks before, but going after Chinese infrastructure directly is a different kind of pressure. Beijing is now being told: route Iranian oil and pay the price. It's a test of how far Trump is willing to push China on Iran policy, and the answer so far is pretty far. Source: Associated Press
