@SamulskiNYC @FAmmiranteTFJ Yeah the velocity diminishing over the start is a big issue. It screams reliever risk, in addition to the potential injury. I'd need to see the velocity maintain through 5 innings for a few starts before I buy. Too many other options for the Dodgers

@FAmmiranteTFJ Feel like that’s - mostly - right. I just would not buy low yet because the velocity dip makes me think an IL stint could be coming.

I have zero shares of Emmet Sheehan, but only because I preferred waiting for Tyler Glasnow. But Sheehan was hyped by many, especially by some of the best fantasy baseball players, for a reason. I'd look to buy low.

@PepTalkFantasy @Travis_Sawchik Its just the conventional cutoff. Admittedly, I could have gone higher for this, but it tells a pretty similar story. Bat speed stabilizes quickly.

@SamEhrlich @Travis_Sawchik Thank you. Another dumb questions sorry... I assume since you posted it, that you're happy with that margin of error?.. to me that seems too much variance but admittedly I'm not an expert

@PepTalkFantasy @Travis_Sawchik 0.7 is just when R2 explains 0.49 of the variance. You could certainly choose something higher like 0.9 and then it takes ~20 swings

@RotoGut Schaefer is insanely good. I got stuck watching the Isles because I have Sorokin in fantasy. It’s been a joy

@Vishal70191934 Yes but remember why you picked Webb. Because he goes deep in games. Hes able to because of his sinker getting quick outs. Sometimes he gives up more hits because of that contact, and he’s not a dominant pitcher in the fun way but for whatever reason, your scoring supports him

@PepTalkFantasy you’d rather have Woo over Webb right? Keaschall has become expendable to me with Wetherholt starting and McCalin/Clement backup infielders

So many folks think a leg kick is about adding power, it’s mostly about timing. With the added benefit of being able to get more barrel depth. I’m in on Liam Hicks. This is a big adjustment
Fish On First@FishOnFirst

New Liam Hicks swing mechanics for this season, from a toe tap to a big leg kick. As Hicks told MLB Network, he toyed with a leg kick last season, but couldn't get the timing right. Made it his goal in the offseason to figure it out. Now pulling balls with way more authority 💪

Here is an example from the other day of Konner getting blown up inside. If you go frame by frame, you can see him sliding forward. His barrel is then late and he has to fight it off.

So, I'm curious to see what the hip slide looks like. How is he being pitched? and probably most important, how is he creating space? The ability is unquestioned.

x.com/BaseUnstitched… Griffin create space a little differently. Because he doesn't hinge at the waste so much AND he steps more toward home plate, Griffin creates space for his bat to travel toward the ball by taking his back leg back toward the catcher and 3b dugout once he starts to rotate. A technique used by many but Jose Altuve and Ramon Laureano come to mind. Mike Trout has an element of it too. It's more of a compensation that occurs rather than something they work on.
