Going to decentralise power to the lowest level possible and get councils to use deliberative democracy tools to connect communities into the decisions that affect them (maybe @Peterffloyd into sprinkle some @flatpackdemoc magic on local gov)

Think I might have a punt at being PM. Plan of action: 1. Proportional representation 2. Put @BuurtzorgBI, @CormacRussell & @HelenBevan in charge of sorting social care 3. Make @KateRaworth chancellor 4. Introduce UBI 5. Something forest school / sociocratic in education.

@DamonHooton @DanielMumby @SomersetCouncil Apologies, I don't remember you at any of the town hall ones - they were open for the public with no agenda and no proposals - just looking at the options. My general grump about people (not you!) failing to attend consultations then coming out of the woodwork later remains!

@Peterffloyd @DanielMumby @SomersetCouncil Mmm, interesting Peter, I did attend meetings but stopped receiving invites when I indicated my opposition to the scheme, somewhat different to just not attending.

Today is the day @SomersetCouncil sets its final budget before the new unitary #Somerset Council takes over in 2023 (elections this May, remember). Will be covering the important parts over the next few hours. #LDReporter #Budget2022 #LE2022
