On 22nd September 1934 at Gresford Colliery, Wales, an explosion killed 266 men & boys underground. 6 survived and only 11 bodies were ever recovered. The wages of all were docked by half a days pay by the owners because the men had 'failed to complete their shift.'

@JackLebeau66 Cardiff City had, and deserved, a very nasty reputation back in the day. PC Simon Insole was enlisted as the copper who travelled away everywhere, including Wales away, as liaison officer. He kept an eye on our nutters, but also ensured they were treated fairly by local forces.

@davenewjob @GrahamHengland As a boy, I lived a few miles from RAF St Athan in South Wales, which housed a Vulcan squadron. Unbelievable racket when those big boys were taking off and souring about. Incredible sight too…

@GrahamHengland Coming from the military aerospace engineering, quite Amazing noises from aircraft we worked on, Harrier (best), Tornado, Hawk T45 (Red Arrows spoke pods etc) & Nimrod, use to watch & hear them all in Awe around the country.. #prd will send chills down everyone’s spines!
