Tried my first Beamish tonight. Why am I not seeing this in every pub from North to South. There’s no comparison Guiness. @wjnash13 is the beer oracle. He’s also quite good at the horses.
@PhilThompson_OT@jamesaknight I was a big fan but he was so clumsy,Phil do you remember anyone saying he shouldn’t run over fences again? I certainly don’t,it was hardly even a talking point
Quiz question - if all horses who had fallen three times in their last four runs were banned from jumping hurdles/fences, obviously Constitution Hill would be banned now - but apart from him, what would be the most recent example of another horse being banned?
Strand Larsen would have been a good signing for Leeds but I’m not sure newly-promoted sides should be forking out £50million on one player. Probably for the best to avoid and look elsewhere before the deadline.
@DizzyJB Haha. She did that. Faithfuls need other faithfuls to be banished or murdered in order to reach the end. I think the team aspect is overplayed. The main objective is to win the prize money, surely? Getting to the final far more important than outing a traitor or 2 early on.
The biggest flaw in The Traitors is that only the worst faithful survive until the end. As the game progresses, the level of gullibility & stupidity increases.
Fiona accuses Rachel. Banished
Harriet accuses Rachel. Banished.
Jessie accuses Stephen. Murdered.
Join the dots FFS.
@DizzyJB I do agree that via the nature of the game, the faithful’s that reach the end-game are largely there because they’ve posed very little threat to the traitors, but It can also be argued that this is also a viable strategy/tactic to ensure one actually reaches the final 4.
@PhilThompson_OT Two days in a row, making the same direct accusations, and then not a single vote for Rachel after Harriet’s departure. That’s utter stupidity.
@DizzyJB But why trust Harriet’s assessment? She was hardly convincing & then raised her own hill to die on, needlessly. I think it’s presented to the viewer as a game of ultimate deception & cunning, when in fact it’s a game of chance interactions & reacting to opportunistic situations.
@GrahamSmyth Wolves turned down £50m+ for him 6 months ago & he signed a new 5yr deal in the Autumn. Throw in the public nature of the approach, likely competition & cost, and this just doesn’t feel like a realistic/49ers-type target. I’m calling shenanigans. Red, fish-shaped shenanigans.
Leeds United have made an enquiry for Jørgen Strand Larsen. No offer yet. Likes of Palace and Forest among others believed to be keen. Complicated due to PSR. But they do like him.
One to watch, but they'll need to beat competition AND find a way to make it work £ wise.

@TomCarnduff Very odd. Almost as if she put so much pressure on herself, given vocation & how she’d be perceived externally, that it manifested into a public lash out & a pointless/needless hill to die on. How ones conveys a theory in that environment as important as the theory itself.
Just an absolutely bizarre strategy on the Traitors. Sacrificing your own spot in the game and the potential for prize money…for quite literally…no reason?
