96 days until Week 1, and in Eagles history that means one thing: Clyde Simmons. Often overshadowed by lining up with Reggie White, Simmons was a star in his own right and remains one of the greatest defensive ends the franchise has ever had. He still ranks 4th all-time in Eagles history with 76 sacks, earned 2 First-Team All-Pro selections, and put together a dominant 1992 season with 19 sacks. A cornerstone of those legendary Eagles defenses of the late ’80s and early ‘90s, Simmons wasn’t just a pass-rushing machine, he was a playmaker.
