All six Tory leadership contenders have pledged to fight VAT on private schools. Not one of them has promised more money for state schools. And there you have it.

If there’s one plea I could make ahead of GCSE results day tomorrow, it’s in the way the media and other commentators talk about GCSE grades. Grades 1-3 are not fails. Us or Xs are. Anyone with a 1-3 HAS GOT A GCSE. And for some of those kiddos, a 1 or a 2 or 3 can be a phenomenal result that they deserve to be proud of. Let’s be a bit more responsible in our language.

Trajectory is downward" KGM, "Is the tax burden going down?" MS, "The trajectory is now on a downward path" KGM, "Is it going down? Q: Why are mini-whiteboards *magic?* A: because it is a whole-class snapshot for you, but a *1:1* experience for the child. Even a quick nod at their board or a "good" with a point makes it a 1:1 interaction. I can't think of any other way to pack so much 1:1 into a lesson?

Due to the past 2 years of poor examinations and what I’d consider more of an Olympiad style paper and possibly even an elitist approach to exam paper writing, I can't in good conscience stick with @Science_AQA for A level Physics.

Rishi Sunak lied to you. He’s sent his ministers out to lie to you. They were told not to lie to you. You can’t believe a word they say.

"Frankly that’s a nonsense figure." Former Director of Strategy for the Conservatives, @mrchriswilkins, tells @BenKentish that the Tories will be pleased to have landed their point about a '£2,000 tax rise' under Labour.
