You said she's inefficient and only scores one way. Those were your claims.
I showed you rookie-to-rookie data which provides the exact same stage for both players. Same adjustment curve, same sample size, no injury impact.
Labeling indisputable facts as "dishonesty" just means you don't like the conclusion.
You can't say she's an inefficient shot chucker compared to Paige and then change your tune after I show you a side by side comparison under fair and similar conditions. The stats showed you that she can be more efficient on similar volume. That's it.
English

@Pick6Club @receptionlivid @Daxson_12 @TheHoopHerald You used 1 season to favor your point instead of utilizing the most recent season or her entire career. You’re dishonest.
English

I'm not going to risk my credibility.
See the difference here is that I appreciate and support both players. I don't need to portray one negatively to prop the other up. The facts are the facts.
I'm simply educating those who have a warped perception of reality. It's your choice to accept it.

English

@receptionlivid @Pick6Club @Daxson_12 @TheHoopHerald It’s not, he posted incorrect information. I’m not going to continue to engage dishonesty.
English

Big things coming for 2027!
Big Ten Women's Basketball@B1Gwbball
What a season for Jaloni Cambridge and Ohio State 🫡
English

@Black_FamilyMan @TheHoopHerald The unfortunate reality is that most people don’t watch.
Their opinions and biases are developed by seeing highlights and box scores.
English

@Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald I don’t see a ton of similarities between them and I think takes like that are silly & show a real lack of understanding of what goes on in a game & how different players put pressure on defenses…
English

@J23Cool @Ankhzed @TheHoopHerald Well, I mean sure, she had a tough 2 games shooting the ball in the 2024 playoffs. But that's a relatively small sample size.
That's why comparing entire seasons paints a more accurate picture.
English

@WomensHoops_USA For me, it's Mikayla Blakes. What she has done at Vanderbilt and the way she has done it is deserving of NPOY for 2026.
English

@Ankhzed @TheHoopHerald Because she would have an entire roster of 5 stars, All-Americans, and WNBA level talent. She wouldn't need to shoot that many times.
She needed to shoot that at Iowa for them to be successful.
Now in the pros, they both take about the exact same amount of attempts.
English

@Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald Paige is a #1 pick to the Dallas Wings, like A'ja to the Aces, they both played in their respective college coaches system. They are now in the pros and have the green light to score the ball. Gino nor Staley would allow Caitlin to take over 20 plus FGA per game, very different..
English

Yet another contradiction.
You give grace to Arike's play (by the way you can look up how many games she played, it was 29 of 40) because she was banged up last season to advance your point but you dog Clark who was also injury plagued.
And I'm not sure what you mean by that last point. Are you saying Geno held Paige back?
English

@Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald Arike missed 15 games and was injured practically the entire season. The Fever were 1 win away from the finals, with Clark missing 28 games and sitting on the sidelines. They were swept her rookie season, where she shot 36/20 percent..
Uconn was Geno's team Dallas is Paige's..
English

@Ankhzed @josephewing80 @TheHoopHerald Lynette Woodard scored 3,649 points
Caitlin Clark scored 3,951 points
English

@josephewing80 @Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald 2nd highest scorer, the 1st highest scorer in NCAA history would be Lynette Woodard, University of Kansas. Clark also has the highest turnover average 5.6 in history WNBA or NBA along with a total record of 223! Ouch!
English

She played the exact same role.
Arike played 29 of 40 games and had her lowest scoring, least efficient season of her career.
Kelsey Mitchell had her highest scoring, most efficient season of her career playing with Caitlin.
And just so I'm getting this straight. In college, when Paige played alongside far superior teammates, you dismissed Clark's numbers because of her role on the team. But now in the pros, when Clark was surrounded by better talent, you're saying that we can't expect higher numbers from Paige because lack of support?
English

@Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald Point guard/Guard, who averaged 5.4 assists with a 2.7 assist to turnover ratio, without Aaliyah Boston or Kelsey Mitchell caliber players, Arike was injured and missed 15 games...she basically played with 4 rookies on that roster. Wait until she has a comparable team as Catlin..
English

@Ankhzed @TheHoopHerald What role did she play for the Dallas Wings?
English

@Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald They had different roles in college, Caitlin is a point guard, Paige is a shooting guard. Totals are subjective but from a pure basketball skill comparison, Paige clears her in every way.
English

@goiowa Doing it the right way, Coach!
Outcomes are often disappointing but it's the process, the relationships forged, and pursuit of a goal with the people beside you that counts the most.
English

Want to take a moment to say thx to our fans for their support.💛Overall, a heck of a year...This type of ending is definitely disappointing, but we'll surely use it as motivation goin' forward. Thx for being with us.❤️ God Bless & Go Hawks!
Iowa Women's Basketball@IowaWBB
Thank you for the support all season long. Go Hawks, always. 🖤
English

My man, that's just not based in fact. If you truly want to be objective about it, then be objective about it.
Rookie Season Comparison
Shots Attempts per Game
Clark 14.5
Bueckers 15.1
(They both averaged 19.2 PPG)
True Shooting % (measurement of shooting efficiency)
Clark 58.3%
Bueckers 56.7%
2PT FG% | 3PT FG% | FT%
Clark 53.3% | 34.4% | 90.6%
Buckers 51.8% | 33.1% | 88.8%
English

@Pick6Club @Daxson_12 @TheHoopHerald No, she just takes a bunch of shots. She’s not a highly efficient player so she needs significantly more shots and touches than everyone else to get her numbers. It was less evident in college due to the competition but she’s being exposed in the WNBA to anyone who is objective.
English

I think it's fair to say that Bueckers is more well-rounded overall, but you cannot say she can do everything equally.
Paige had 561 college assists. Caitlin had 583 MORE than that in her career.
During their rookie seasons in the WNBA, Paige dished out 194 assists. Caitlin had 452.
It's undeniable that Clark is a better shot creator for her teammates than Bueckers. Can she do that? Nearly 200 games in college and pro has told us that she hasn't to that extent yet.
English

@Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald Paige can do everything Catlin can, though Catlin can't do everything Paige can. Paige's efficiency is consistent, her defense and ball security puts her above most guards I've seen play.
English

They pressure her for three main reasons
1) Her shooting range
You can't give her space to shoot freely.
2) Disrupt her timing and passing lanes
If you defend her aggressively enough, you can take her out of rhythm, which takes her team's offense out of its flow since she's the primary initiator.
3) Wear her down physically
By being aggressive and physical, you can make her work the entire 40 minutes. She shows fatigue by being careless with the ball at times. Whether that's casual dribbling or sloppy passing. You might also see her shot quality diminish if her legs get tired enough.
English

@Daxson_12 @Pick6Club @TheHoopHerald The ability to dribble effectively and score from different areas is a big part in how aggressively teams play her. She doesn’t have a good handle so teams pressure her and make her pass. Paige handle is good enough to consistently beat pressure and she’s a 3-level scorer.
