I went to buy a bag of “coal” as its nearly 0 degrees and dropping. But it’s now 12 quid a 5kg bag. And 22 quid for 10kg! At all the local shops, supermarket and garage. And of course it’s imported. And not even coal because that’s banned altogether now. Because of #NetZero.
And yet all over the UK we have millions of pensioners and "economically inactive" working age people in post industrial communities sitting atop our own rich coal reserves. While an accountant friend is now permanently in Aberdeen busily helping insolvent businesses wind up because we can’t touch our North Sea Oil. And all because of #NetZero zealots.
Btw it's very calm here in Kent so the wind farms stand still and silent and the fields of solar panels won't be any good when it snows later.
A staggering admission from the Home Office.
Following my questioning, they have admitted that the Gazan children and their families who recently came to the UK have been 'issued with visas and granted leave to remain for up to two years'. TWO YEARS.
With 'ability to access public funds', including 'wraparound support' for the families.
I'm told...
'Should these individuals wish to remain in the UK beyond the initial two years, they can apply for further permission to stay under existing routes within the Immigration Rules.'
They refuse to even tell me how many have come...
Remember the BBC reported in one group there were ten children, with FIFTY 'companions'. They can all stay for two years, at least. With access to public funds.
That's just one group...
This is MADNESS.
We should not be accepting a single migrant from Gaza.
Sad news today in the passing of legendary photojournalist Brian Harris whose work inspired many photographers...thebppa.com/obituary-brian… This lovely portrait of Brian is from David Sandison from 2018.
For 20 months, Israel has crossed red line after red line in its genocidal war on Gaza.
Its recent attacks on aid centres cross another. But the UK government is still failing to act.
Join us tomorrow to say ENOUGH & demand our government act now to protect aid distribution.
Na'amod is proud to support tomorrow's Red Line for Gaza protest in London.

@BBCBreaking Given the number of convictions for which Letby is serving time you really have to wonder if there are not more pressing criminal issues where the Police or CPS might usefully devote their time.
@elonmusk Sadly it looks as though the EU is not just going Socialist/Marxist/Communist (all roads to the same goal) but they are going to be the Middle East 2.0.
Have you seen pictures of the streets in London or Paris - There is not a fair haired person in the streets.
Media too quick to repeat lone wolf, mental issues narrative for Magdeburg attack. Should withhold judgment until Islamist tendencies/connections investigated.
