College Football Throwback: Steve McNair
Before becoming an NFL MVP, Steve McNair was putting up video game numbers at Alcorn State University. The dynamic quarterback dominated the college game in the early ‘90s, throwing for over 14,000 yards and accounting for nearly 17,000 total yards in his career.

Sad reality in major college football: Tee Martin — a National Champion QB, elite recruiter, and one of the most respected offensive minds in the game — still struggles to get the opportunities others get with half the résumé.

It’s not about being “soft.” It’s about not entering spaces that intentionally disrespect you. BBC willingly chose to air this slur. They chose to have a mic next to someone with an uncontrollable disability. Black folks are always expected to take the high road, and toughen up, which only gives people the excuse to continue the behavior. Maybe if prominent Black actors don’t show up to next year’s awards, they’ll understand there is consequences to disrespect.
