my grandfather used to classify all pop culture as “Mickey Mouse shit”. I never saw him listen to music for fun. and i thought that was so alien. and then i realized it wasnt that he didn’t enjoy pop culture its just that all of it held the same level of significance for him

@Eggsbert_ @zanyfen @crumbraven Soldier is a term used by marines to refer to a non-marine in the armed forces, usually army. In this instance the “soldier” is in training to become a marine, so not yet a marine, but still enlisted in the armed forces and the trainer is quizzing him about what it takes
