5 years ago, Daunte Wright was shot and killed by a Brooklyn Center, Minnesota police officer. A minor traffic stop became a death sentence for the 20-year-old after then-Officer Kim Potter, a 26-year police veteran, claimed she mistook her gun for a taser. We will never forget. I urge everyone to read Ulysses S Grant's memoirs--the writing as Mark Twain said when he edited it was perfection.
What people don't know is when he was writing it he was in severe pain and dying from cancer. 💔

There is no doubt in my mind that the best writings of any U.S. President are Grant's memoirs, and his recollections of Lee's surrender in Appomattox---161 year ago this today---are perhaps the best parts of those memoirs.
