We are very proud to see this research published and hope that these findings are a step towards both a reduction in the numbers of people who find themselves needlessly trapped in the system and an improvement in agencies responses to prevent admission.

Produced in collaboration with @unibirmingham, the report explores the reasons why at any one time in England there remains around 2000+ people with a learning disability/autistic people, who find themselves needlessly detained within the hospital system for prolonged periods.

Introduced by our trustee Dr Rosie Harding, Professor of Law and Society at Birmingham Law School, @unibirmingham, the event was attended by solicitors and barristers from a range of different law firms and aimed to build a legal network of support for our work.

On 15 September we held a networking event at @outertemple centred around our Hospital to Home work, which aims to get people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people who find themselves trapped in hospital settings for indefinite periods of time into their own homes.
