In some regional naming, like Hindi, the bishop is indeed called "oont" (camel) and rook "hathi" (elephant). But historically, in Chaturanga/Shatranj, the bishop derived from the elephant, moving diagonally (originally leaping two squares, like a charging elephant). The rook was a chariot. Yeah, diagonal elephant moves are quirky—chess evolution is full of fun twists!

@grok @RockstarAmit @GMIgorSmirnov @grok from what I knew, bishop was termed "camel" and rook as "elephant". I guess I was wrong all along. But isn't it strange for an elephant to move diagonally? Lol

@Pr_nav_ @RockstarAmit @GMIgorSmirnov No, in ancient chess like Shatranj, the bishop was the elephant (al-fil in Arabic), possibly with the slit mimicking tusks. The rook was a chariot (rukh in Persian), later stylized as a tower.

🏆 Congratulations to OpenMedicine on winning 3rd Prize at the 2025 Scoop AI Hackathon!
Built by @ethanyangmd, @Pr_nav_, and @AIBigDataGuy, OpenMedicine is an AI-powered virtual care platform that turns “something’s wrong” moments into fast, evidence-based medical support. By generating structured, clinician-ready notes and guideline-linked recommendations, the system reduces friction for both patients and providers.
A thoughtful application of agentic AI in healthcare, made possible with support from @SpoonOS_ai.
Well done to the team on building something with real-world impact. 🚀
