@NateSilver538 I think you’re right, and I think being autistic has been the antidote for that for me; my process hasn’t changed over the years for figuring out how I feel about a certain topic even though I’ve consumed more news. But I also see how rare that is!

Not wrong but this is more true for the above-average person, generally as people consume more news they become more partisan and more influenced by vibes and what their peers think! (This is bad btw.)

By far the hardest thing I’ve tried to model, and I do player based models in *college* basketball and football. (Baseball was the easy one lol) So. Ya. I 100% see how this is happening cause I’m not even sure how to solve it. Not saying it *can’t* be, but more so… maybe it’s a feature and not a bug? If you wanted a game where this was easier to solve, the super simple answer is just make some rule changes. But… not sure we should, and I doubt we ever do. Meaning… this might be an area where the math only gets us so far and we need to accept it. Not saying that’s definitive, but it should at least be part of the discussion imo

Coach is right. It's a no-brainer. As in, it's the literal dumbest rule in sports. "Hey, you just did nothing. Here's a free 45 feet for doing nothing so well."

The lowest spread for a top 4 seed at the moment is -13.5 and we have never had a tourney where all 16 are double digit favorites. That’s pretty wild and speaks to the new era we have entered.
