@davidfowl A major gap in vscode is semantic caching. If you would run say meilisearch or pg_vector and link to vs agent mode you could massive save on requests without the llm needing to be hit. Wouldn’t be too bad to self host a small embedding generator model in an extension

@davidfowl It is definitely one of the best I’ve used. Compare it to SQL alchemy in python now they definitely got the alchemy part right, as you need to be a sorcerer to pull off anything near as performant as EF is :P Drizzle is pretty good for typescript too, but again imo EF beats it

People like to talk smack about EF but it's one of the best ORMs on the planet (if you don't like ORMs this thread isn't for you 😅).
