After getting admission into school, I paid my acceptance fee and I was given my school fee to pay. My sister then asked me for 10k out of the money to sort something for herself. I obliged her and I started taking bits out of the money. #Studentworkstories @thegarageng_

As time went on, I got better. I started getting more small jobs here and there. Nothing big, but it was something to support my stay in school. And honestly, if that didn’t happen, I probably wouldn’t have even started this digital work in the first place.

I wasn’t able to meet up with the payment of my school fees before the deadline so I had to call my parents and they paid after expressing their disappointment.

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Data doesn’t lie! My respect to Ebonyi State for leading the South East Maths Olympiad. This is exactly the STEM fire our youths need to close the education gap. Abia and every SE state must step up urgently. Our children’s future (and Nigeria’s economy) depends on it. Education is economic infrastructure.

From the data I can see from South East Maths Olympiad, Ebonyi State is ranking above Abia State. Data doesn’t lie. Abia State needs to urgently step up.

Dear Sirs @Wizarab10 @the_beardedsina Good morning Sirs. I hope this public appeal meets you well. This is my 3rd day appealing publicly for your help to raise the remaining N4million needed for me to do my EBT treatment in Lagos. Sirs, I am not giving up on myself. I am please asking for help to stay alive and strong enough to keep going. I am writing to you because you have consistently shown kindness, empathy, and a heart for people. I believe that even being seen by you can change my story. I will be posting this letter every day—not out of desperation, but out of hope—until it reaches you or someone who can help amplify my voice. This is me choosing hope over silence. Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Thank you for all the lives you’ve already touched. With hope, Chiamaka A Sickle Cell Warrior trying to live, work, and dream 🤍 4233533447 Zenith Bank Chiamaka Lynda @Morris_Monye @AjeboDanny @aproko_doctor @Jaecougar @NemeremNjoku @MrMekzy_ @MarinatedTurks @dammiedammie35 @OgbajiIfeanyi @kingsleynovich @nonytenderheart @NonyeKings @NkyEzenwa @DONJAZZY @davido @iamscrummy_ @Auntyadaa @HenshawKate @UnkleAyo @Harri_obi @MarinatedTurks @General_Somto @chude__ @dunuotubelu @iam__temmyyy @dunuotubelu @gaiuschibueze

A humble appeal Dear Sirs Dickson and Dr Sina , @Wizarab10 @the_beardedsina Good day sir. I hope this message meets you well. This is my 2nd day of publicly appealing for your help. I woke up to madt pains this morning and had to be rushed to Chimex hospital, Nnewi. This is the 2nd time in 2weeks. This time, the doctor said i have severe vaso-occlusive crises (VOC). My PCV is currently 18, but I am being transfused right now. My body feels weaker everyday. It’s frightening, and exhausting, but I’m still holding on to hope. Honestly, I am very scared cos I haven't had this kind of back to back crisis before. Sirs, I am a very hardworking woman. I have never allowed my sickle cell condition to define me or make me lazy. All I have ever wanted is to be strong enough to work, to earn honestly, and to achieve the goals I have set for my life. Unfortunately, this disease keeps pulling me back just when I try to stand firmly again. I urgently need to undergo an Exchange Blood Transfusion (EBT) to stabilize my health and give me a real chance at strength and productivity again. I am humbly asking for your help, sirs — to please help me raise the funds needed so I can get this treatment done and stop living in constant crisis and fear. I know you do so much for people every day, and I truly appreciate your kind heart and generosity. Even taking a moment to amplify my situation would mean the world to me. Thank you for reading, sirs. I am grateful, hopeful, and praying that help comes soon. 4233533447 Zenith Bank Chiamaka Lynda With respect and hope, Chiamaka

The recent pronouncement by the US government declaring Nigeria a ‘Country of Particular Concern' (CPC) and indicating possible military action should give every well-meaning Nigerian serious concern. There is no doubt that Nigeria is experiencing an unprecedented level of insecurity with attendant carnage and the most shocking loss of lives and property. According to Amnesty International, over 10,000 people have been killed in Nigeria since May 2023 and as I have repeatedly lamented, the unwarranted and unprovoked killing of Nigerians is most condemnable, and all efforts must be made to bring it to a stop. It is equally important to state that the terrible situation is significantly avoidable with competent leadership and governance. While the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence, commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC APC-led government/leaders to effectively govern, galvanise and lead Nigeria where no one is unwarrantedly oppressed and killed, a Nation where peace, truth and justice reign! As democracies, Nigeria and the US have long been strategic partners committed to regional peace and security. That relationship should not falter. The present situation calls for constructive diplomatic and any other plausible engagement by both nations aimed at addressing the prevailing and disturbing security concerns. Both countries must work in concert and expeditiously towards that purpose. -PO
