The $30T question is: does Iran still have the missile inventory and launch capability to raze the Gulf Arab economies to the ground if we persist? @LokiJulianus He could get gas prices down if he cuts a deal with whoever is running Iran and ends this war. We are supposedly 1-2 elections away from the end of America, but Trump and the GOP chose to attack Iran for Israel, instead of focusing on our numerous domestic issues.

Unpopular opinion: if Trump can get gas prices down & keep casualties minimal, he can continue this war indefinitely. Americans are used to “background violence.” I would prefer a decisive resolution obviously, but he has plenty of runway.

The S-500 is a very new system designed to shoot down ballistic and hypersonic missiles (and allegedly satellites) and would be of very limited utility to the Iranians. It has never been used in combat, barely even deployed. People just post the most random things on here

If it can hit a ballistic missile, it can hit a satellite, they are the same design parameters: 1) target is at extreme altitudes 2) target is at extreme speeds 3) but target is 100% ballistically predictable It's a simple engineering problem, ABM's. Nuclear missiles and satellite delivery are a similar overlapping technology. If you can lob a nuke, you can put satellites in orbit.

@WWillThomas @Osinttechnical Second drone hits the roof of the merkava. Roof of every tank is the weakest spot. FPV drones uses HEAT warhead projectiles which pierce rooftops of tanks like a sheet of paper. So yes, this drone DID meaningful damage

@WWillThomas @Osinttechnical A mobility kill is tactically and functionally a kill (if it actually broke the tracks) and attempts made to move that tank to re-open the road can be a killbox that keeps on giving. But the most that turret attack did was shatter the glass of that optic.
