Leaving a flat in Bangalore… and losing most of the deposit 😳 Charu Gupta shares: I was living in a 3BHK flat in Bangalore with two roommates. When we moved in, we paid a ₹70,000 security deposit. After some time, the owner suddenly asked us to vacate because he wanted to sell the flat. We agreed and moved out peacefully. But the shock came later…Out of ₹70,000, he returned only ₹18,000 🤯 He deducted one month’s rent, saying the flat would need painting and repairs, and since no one would stay during that time, he would face a loss. But how is that the tenant’s responsibility? If he had informed us earlier, we could have helped find a new tenant. On top of that, he also deducted money for damages that were already there. We had informed him about those issues earlier, and at that time he told us to get them fixed ourselves. He owns around 10 flats in Bangalore… so what does he really gain by holding back a tenant’s deposit like this? Now I’m planning to send him a legal notice. If he doesn’t respond within 15 days, I may have to take the matter to court. He has even blocked me on WhatsApp, so there’s no way to talk and resolve this directly.

This video is from Baba Baidyanath Dham, but the same situation exists in almost every Hindu temple. Devotees are treated worse than animals in their own temples, and to solve this issue, we made a paid system called “Sugam Darshan” which only rich can afford.

Not my religion! I refuse to go to a state occupied temple where devotees are treated like cattle and segregated on basis of money and clout. Anyway most are there not out of devotion but amusment like visiting disney world. Gods have left long ago.

Both videos are from Baba Baidyanath Dhaam, Deoghar. The first shows how common devotees are treated, and the second shows how VIPs are treated. This is same in most of the famous temples. This difference must end. You can’t expect unity and brotherhood in a religion if the rich and powerful receive pampered treatment at temples while ordinary devotees are treated like an inconvenience. I understand that the sheer number of devotees makes it difficult to give everyone ample time, but things can still be managed with dignity, through better crowd management, token or time-slot systems, clearly marked queues, and strict enforcement of the same rules for everyone. Whatever is decided for the common people, the same rules should apply to the rich and powerful as well.
