I feel like that's not something you genuinely are born with, but rather something you learn throughout time, context and repetition. Idk, being able to switch frameworks and change orientations towards the same problem is really the key. Sometimes that means flipping the problem, and other times that means zooming out, as you suggest.

Nice table dub! Did you tested the latency by placing orders?
Either way the lowest update speed of the partial or diff depth streams of binance ob is 100ms so I think that having 1ms processing time will not be that meaningful.
Obviously depends a lot on the type of strategy that you are running, if you are arbing will be more important
