It is a story of Love and Hope - two forces that often appear to be the most fragile, yet in our hardest moments, prove to be the most powerful strengths we possess. 🕊️ While this began as a personal journey through a cancer diagnosis of my loving wife Kusum, it is a story for anyone, anywhere, facing their own 'impossible' mountain. This book is: ❤️ A Universal Love Story that transcends the physical. 🤝 A Compassionate Guide for anyone navigating caregiving, loss, or a life-altered state. ⚖️ A call for Systemic Change in healthcare, exploring how we fight for a better world while finding the grace to accept life’s hardest 'no.' Out-of-pocket medical costs for cancer therapy and other serious diseases can often be devastating. Although Ayushman Bharat and private insurance have helped to some extent, many hurdles still exist and most people do not have access to the necessary funds. Out-of-the-box strategies are urgently needed.

At a recent panel, I was told I was “lucky to be here.” As a caregiver through my late wife’s Stage 4 cancer journey, a patient advocate for 14 years, and someone who has worked to bring changes in research, access, and policy - this is not luck. It is lived experience. Lived experience is not optional input. It is essential evidence.
