I met #ThalapathyVijay at the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023 through a friend. They carefully brought me to Panaiyur, and I didn’t know it was him at first. Then #Vijay came, and we had around a 4-hour discussion. He told me that he was interested in entering politics. I discouraged him, saying that he had ₹1000 crore business potential and that he would remain the No. 1 hero ⭐️ for the next 5 years. I asked him, “Why do you want to exit cinema? Even if a more talented star comes to replace you, it will take him 5 years to surpass you.” He said he wanted to serve the people. I asked him to join the Congress party, saying that he could be announced as the Chief Minister candidate for the 2026 elections. However, he told me that he would contest independently. I then said that he would have to exit cinema because Tamil Nadu people would not accept someone doing two jobs at the same time. He said that he had one last film, #JanaNayagan, and that he would leave cinema after that. I told him that #EPS would be his competitor, but #Vijay told me that #UdhayanidhiStalin would be his competitor. That determination is what brought him here. I couldn’t understand why he was entering politics when he was at the greatest height of his cinema career. During that meeting, he was the one convincing me. It was a risky decision. If he won, it would become history; if he lost, people would say he was being adamant. The actual reason for his victory cannot be fully decoded. There was fatigue among the two Dravidian parties. People did not want #DMK, but they also did not see #ADMK as an alternative. If #TVK had not entered politics, they might have won. #Vijay did not attend many political rallies, and we did not clearly know his ideology, but people wanted to give him an opportunity and see what would happen. The only ideology a leader should have is the happiness and welfare of the people. #MGR was not fluent in Tamil, but he knew how to feed people when they were hungry. He took timely decisions for people’s welfare. There are many educated people in DMK, but many have also been involved in corruption. Yet today, they criticise #TVK cadres as illiterate, and the people have given them an answer. As a birthday wish, I want #CMVijay to speak in Assembly sessions. They won’t leave you alone; remaining silent is not an option. It is true that it is difficult to live as Vijay, but if your image is damaged, will it affect your next Diwali release? One crore people have accepted you as their leader. If you do not speak, people will not stay quiet. Even on current issues, they are standing with you. The entire media is aligned with #DMK and will continue to be. They are all educated, and they still believe in the party. You cannot change that overnight. Vijay is not breaking #ADMK. There has not even been a request for anyone to join him, but party cadres are automatically moving and weakening the party. It was a good party, but as time progresses, such changes happen. Unexpected changes are happening in governance. Corruption is the biggest problem in Tamil Nadu. I thought corruption in government offices could never be eradicated, but today government officers are afraid to accept money. Vijay does not need money; he left cinema at the peak of his career. Corruption has become a habit, and it will remain a major obstacle. One has to stay vigilant 24 hours a day.
