we built this because it solves a very practical need. it's something I've experienced and I know a lot of other people have as well. different models have different uses and you shouldn't be locked down to one.

This weekend I built Remix! Remix is a Rust MCP server that finely interfaces with Ableton Live. You can create music, sounds, clips, and use agents to produce anything. My dream is for anyone to produce in the same way engineers code using AI.

after 6 years it’s time. I primarily wrote BOY in 2018/19 and i’m ready to dive into the next chapter. I usually write 60-80 tracks before cutting it down to an album and this time I’m shooting for more. here's a contrarian take for the day, removing your music from spotify because a fund that the CEO invested in is allocating in the defense industry is pretty pointless and ineffective. The only thing it achieves is hurting your fans who want to enjoy your art. where were you for the past 10 years when they paid artists pennies and held this industry hostage? or the selective enforcement of bot farms with majors? or the fake artists on playlists? that's an actual reason to boycott. It's all so theatrical. Even if it forces fans to buy mp3s again, it's shortlived. Of course it's fine if you're passionate about not actively contributing to anything defense related, but maybe look at your 401k and your index funds before pulling music. Or maybe stop paying taxes. Everybody is complicit whether you see it or not.
