Only trust communications from official Coinbase Ventures sources in order to avoid scammers who are actively impersonating the @cbventures team.
• Our verified account is @cbventures, marked with a blue verified badge & official Coinbase badge.
• Legitimate team members are followed by @cbventures and use Coinbase email accounts.
• Current Team list: @ShanAggarwal, @HoolieG, @jonathankingvc, @brandonmyint, @jimenachacon, @0xNoroc, @SteimetzKinji
• Fake accounts may appear verified on X due to paid subscriptions.
• We never DM on Telegram without a prior introduction. • We will never ask you to download any type of software to schedule a meeting or conduct a call.
• We don’t use Zoom - only Google Meet, no .exe needed.
• Scammers may reference CBV employees by name, or claim they are a personal assistant of a named CBV employee - this is social engineering - do not engage.
