@Avabelly__ Take away the TV (or the cord connected to smart features), video games, his smart phone (if he has one), and even WiFi access. Allow him these things IF AND ONLY IF he maintains a clean room. Be firm. Don’t budge. Would be surprised if he doesn’t make an effort after that.

Parents... I need some real advice here. My 13-year-old's room looks like this EVERY DAY. SINGLE. DAY. Dirty clothes everywhere, trash piled up, and somehow even the clean laundry gets thrown away like it means nothing. I'm at the point where I refuse to keep cleaning up after him... but I also can't stand watching my house turn into a complete disaster. So what do we do in this situation? Do I hold the line... Or step in before it gets worse?
