Other statutory options remain available. For companies, the practical takeaway is clear. If refunds are potentially available, claims should be filed promptly to protect their position. State leaders should be focused on making their states more competitive, not more expensive. Proposals to hike property taxes in places like New York and California only push families and businesses to look elsewhere. When taxes climb, people move. It’s that simple. We need policies that encourage growth and stability, not ones that drive residents out. Keeping property and state taxes under control and allowing the private sector to lead in housing is how we strengthen opportunity and affordability.

Today, @POTUS authorized strikes against Iran, targeting the Ayatollah and the oppressive regime. This action marks a critical first step toward liberating the Iranian people from a brutal, oppressive dictatorship that has killed tens of thousands of its own people. The United States must unite with key powers in the Middle East to ensure the Iranian people are supported and given the opportunity to establish a free and democratic society just like they had before the Islamic Regime ruined that country! We saw an end to the partial government shutdown following the vote on February 3rd, and now we need to continue to stay united in order to march forward with a strong agenda for the American people. This process shows just how razor-thin the majority is in the House, and how close both votes were. Grateful to join The Hill to discuss these issues and key measures necessary to finding a solution.
