Today Governor Sherrill delivered her Budget Address and proposed the largest amount of spending in New Jersey history, at around $60.7 billion. After promising not to raise taxes, this budget does just that by eliminating or reducing several deductions and rebates. I look forward to scrutinizing this proposal in our upcoming Budget Committee hearings.

@GovSherrillNJ If affordability is the goal, the math still doesn’t add up. The budget continues to grow from $58.8B to $60.7B — even as New Jersey faces a 3B structural deficit? Real affordability requires real reform and less spending.
