The Clarinda State Asylum in Clarinda, Iowa built in 1884. Clarinda is a smaller town (population has never been above 6,000) in the more isolated portion of SW Iowa. I filmed this to convey the reality of size of this structure that will always be the largest in the town.

I first stumbled upon Art Bell & Coast-to-Coast in the 1990s, as a kid with insomnia. This weekend I passed Pahrump on my way to Death Valley, so I stopped to pay my respects and see his property. Art lived and died here, broadcasting his shows from these very towers for years.

Where do these devils even come from? The pits of hell?
